Angelo Farooq

Dr. Angelo Farooq is a Partner at AlphaX RE Capital. He is appointed as the Chairman of the California Workforce Development Board ($6 billion annual system governing all federal workforce funds and over 200 America Job Centers). Angelo is elected by his state workforce peers across all other Governor administrations throughout the country as the Chairman of the National Association of State Workforce Board Chairs (administered by the National Governors Association) that provides a unified advocacy to advise the White House and congress on labor/workforce policy. 

Angelo was elected for two terms (2015-2024) on the Riverside School Board (a Southern California based district governing 50 public schools with an annual operating budget +$700 million). He is teaching the summer 2025 Stanford Continuing Studies course - Real Estate Investment Business: Strategy, Policy, and Development on campus at Stanford University. Angelo is appointed as Co-Chair for CA Treasurer Fiona Ma’s Housing, Economic Development, Job Creation & Opportunity Zone Ad Hoc Advisory Committee.

He serves on the Board of Directors for the Building Industry Association Los Angeles/Ventura/San Bernardino regional chapters. Angelo earned a Bachelor’s Degree from UC Berkeley, Executive Master and Doctorate of Policy, Planning & Development degrees from the University of Southern California.
