Febraury

SAN JOSE, April 30, 2025 - AlphaX RE Capital has announced a significant milestone in its residential portfolio with the successful rezoning approval of its "125 Kirk" project in San Jose.

On January 23, the company received official approval from the City Council to rezone the 1.49-acre site from prezone to R-1(PD), paving the way for an 18-unit townhouse development.

"This approval represents a critical step forward in addressing the housing needs in this desirable area of San Jose," said a spokesperson for AlphaX RE Capital.

Prime Silicon Valley Location

The development is strategically positioned in a quiet residential neighborhood, bordered by Kirk Avenue to the north, Hyland Avenue to the east, El Campo Boulevard to the south, and Madeline Avenue to the west.

Future residents will benefit from convenient access to major Silicon Valley employers, with Highway 130 and 680 just minutes away. The location offers approximately 15-minute commutes to Broadcom, Zoom, and Adobe campuses, and 20-minute drives to Google and Apple facilities. For those preferring public transportation, the nearby Alum Rock station provides BART access to other California cities.

Development Details

Plans for the 1.49-acre site include:

  • Construction of 18 townhouse-style single-family homes

  • Demolition of the existing 1,088-square-foot residence and accessory structures

  • Removal of 26 trees

  • Installation of solar panels on all units

With this final rezoning hurdle cleared, AlphaX RE Capital reports the project is now entering its final development stages, with construction expected to commence shortly.
