AlphaX Supports Women's Growth in Real Estate

Women-founded firm celebrates female leadership while addressing gender gap in real estate and construction

March 28, 2025 — Palo Alto, CA

Last Friday, AlphaX RE Capital served as the presenting sponsor for the Second Annual Women's History Month Luncheon, hosted by Santa Clara County Supervisor Margaret Abe-Koga. The event brought together community leaders, industry professionals, and advocates from across the Bay Area to celebrate women's contributions and address ongoing challenges in male-dominated industries.

High-Profile Gathering Highlights Women's Leadership

The luncheon featured remarks from Fiona Ma, California State Treasurer, and assembled both familiar and new faces—all united by a clear sense of purpose and determination to advance women's roles in leadership.

"The energy in the room was palpable," said attendees. "Community leaders from across the Bay Area came together, each bringing their own experience and vision for creating more opportunities for women."

Leading by Example: A Women-Founded Platform

AlphaX RE Capital, a women-founded and women-led real estate investment and development platform, has made supporting women's growth a core operational principle—not just a talking point.

"Supporting women's growth isn't just something we say—it shows up in how we work," the company emphasized. "We give people ownership, create real paths to grow, and make room for more women to step into meaningful leadership roles."

The firm's track record speaks for itself: from completing California's first ADU condo conversion to launching the first SB 684 starter home project, AlphaX has built a pipeline of over 1,000 homes. These accomplishments serve as proof that women can lead complex, large-scale real estate developments successfully.

The Gender Gap Remains Significant

Despite progress, the statistics remain stark. As of 2024, women represent only 11.2% of the U.S. construction workforce, with an even smaller 4% in construction and maintenance roles.

"The gap is still real," AlphaX acknowledged. "That's exactly why spaces like this matter. They create visibility, connection, and momentum."

Strong Female Representation from AlphaX

The event featured several key leaders from AlphaX RE Capital and its affiliated companies:

  • Dr. Angelo Farooq, General Partner

  • Jia Li, COO of Development and Asset Management

  • Lisa Gao, Co-Founder and COO of AlphaX, CEO of Axis Realty and RateDNA

  • Ruby H., Director of Entitlements and Permitting

  • Chelsea L., CEO of La Premiere

  • Alice Liu, CEO of Hearth & Table Group and Director of Customer Care

Building More Than Homes

"A vision doesn't always begin with something big," the company reflected. "Sometimes it begins with one person stepping forward—or one community choosing to support."

For AlphaX, the mission extends beyond construction projects and customer service. The company is committed to creating space where more women can grow, gain visibility, and move forward with confidence in industries where they remain underrepresented.

Creating Lasting Change

In a real estate industry still largely dominated by men, AlphaX believes that leadership should be visible—not only in title, but in action. By sponsoring events like the Women's History Month Luncheon and actively promoting women into leadership positions, the company aims to create systemic change.

"What we do is not just about building homes or serving customers," AlphaX stated. "It's also about creating space—so more women can grow, be seen, and move forward with confidence."

Looking Ahead

As the event concluded, participants expressed enthusiasm for continued collaboration and growth.

"Looking forward to being together again next year!" the AlphaX team shared, signaling their ongoing commitment to supporting women's advancement in real estate and construction.
